The Legend
Many years ago, the locals decided to drain the ever-flooded swamps. During the work, an ancient wooden sculpture was pulled from the mud. After long debates, it was placed in the town square—as a mysterious relic of the past.
At first, the townspeople celebrated—they bowed to the swamp creature as if it were an idol, calling it the town’s guardian. But soon, strange things began to happen: eerie figures haunted the town, mournful cries echoed through the night, and children mysteriously vanished without a trace.
Some of the townspeople lost their sanity. They ran through the yards, attacked their neighbors, and their eyes seemed empty, devoid of life. The surrounding villagers began to call them the possessed. Soon, the entire town was given the same name - the possessed town. Terrified by the paranormal events, families abandoned their homes, squares, libraries, and taverns, fleeing as far as they could from the cursed place.
